The 34-year-old center Al Jefferson announced his retirement from the NBA, according to Gary Washburn.
On July 2018, Jefferson signed with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association. In 10 games with the Tigers he averaged 15.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
On March 2019, he signed a deal to play in the BIG3.
Jefferson spent 14 seasons in the NBA and averaged 15.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
