German national team centre Patrick Femerling has moved to Turkey for this season. The 34-year-old signed a one-year deal with Antalya, after spending last two seasons at home with Alba Berlin, averaging 3.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in the German BBL during the 2008-2009 season.
Besides Alba, Femerling played for some European powerhouses, namely Barcelona and Panathinaikos. With the national team he won a a silver medal at the 2005 Eurobasket and a bronze one three years earlier at the World Championship.
Antalya failed to qualify for the playoff semi-finals of the Turkish league last season after falling to Fenerbahçe in the quarter-finals.
