ImageIt seems that Pablo Prigioni and Sergi Vidal will have to face the former team of many years earlier than they expected, as Real Madrid will play against Caja Laboral in the semifinal of the Supercopa 2009.

In the other semifinal champions Barcelona will face hosting team Gran Canaria who of course will be playing infront of their fans.

In addition to the semifinals and the final game the will also take place a dunk contest and a three-point shootout which introduces a novelty, the "Magic Three-pointer". If a player has completed all of his shots within the one minute given, he will have the chance to take a final shot within the next ten seconds, from the central, but from eight meters distance. If made it will count four (!!) points.

The participants for the dunk contest are:

Antwain Barbour (Lagun Aro GBC)
Christian Eyenga (DKV Joventut)
Mindaugas Katelynas (Meridiano Alicante)
Sergio Llull (Real Madrid)

The participants for the three-point shootout are:

Louis Bullock (Real Madrid, 41% last season, three times champion)
Jaycee Carroll (Gran Canaria, 46.5% last season in Italy)
Taquan Dean (Unicaja, 42% last season)
Carl English (Caja Laboral, 36% last season)
Sergiy Gladyr (Manresa, winner in Ukraine)
Juan Carlos Navarro (Barcelona, 44% in the playoffs)
Pedro Robles (Murcia, 48.8% last season)
Alan Voskuil (Fuenlabrada, 43% last season in the NCAA)

The event will take place in the 2nd and 3rd of October.
