ImageIn an amazing game, with thrilling final moments, Barcelona outgunned Real Madrid with 86-82 to win the ACB Supercopa 2009.

Barcelona was leading throughout almost the entire first half, behind great performances by Boniface N'Dong and Juan Carlos Navarro, but was unaible to pull away and was even finally surpassed by Real. to go to the break down by three (46-49).

In the third quarter, Real Madrid even went up by 11 (63-52), behind consecutive points by Pablo Prigioni and Jorge Garbajosa, but Barcelona pulled off a 13-0 run to go up by 2 themselves. The lead changed hands a lot of times from that moment on and the teams entered the final minute of the game being tied at 82.

Erazem Lorbek scored a basket from the paint with just under 40" to go and in the next possession Felipe Reyes was hustled by N'Dong in the paint to lose the shot. Navarro was sent to the line in order to wrap this up for Barca, but surprisingly he missed both!! Real's final possession to tie the game or win was cut short as Lorbek intercepted a pass by Prigioni and Mickeal dunked for the win.

Juan Carlos Navarro was named MVP of the Supercopa 2009. In the final game he had 22 points with 5/7 three-pointers, 5 assists and 4 rebounds.

Christian Eyenga was the winner earlier in the Dunk Contest as he was awarded more points than his opponents Mindaugas Katelynas, Antwain Barbour and Sergio Llull.

Pedro Robles shot an amazing 23/26 three-pointers, including the "Triple Magico" from eight meters to amass 31 points and left no chance to Sergiy Gladyr who got 26 points.
