Worcester WolvesWolves Coach Chuck Evans has signed 6' 7" forward Randy George, who hails from the British Virgin Islands and therefore has a British passport.

Born in 1981, George played junior college basketball for Gorda on the Virgin Islands. He moved on to Sauk Valley Community College, Illinois and then to Henderson State College.

One thing that's stuck with Randy from his days at Sauk Valley Community College is the importance of TEAM. He said: "My Coach in junior college once told me that the meaning of 'TEAM' was 'Together Each Achieves More'. This has always stuck with me and so far it's proven true."

George began his BBL career with the Sheffield Sharks in the 2007-08 season. He played 33 games scoring 7 p.p.g and recording 5.3 rebs p.g, and 0.7 blocks per game.

Last season he played for Scottish Rocks, coming off the bench to score double figure points tallies on a number of occasions. He played 33 games in all and was on court an average of 20 minutes per game. He recorded 7.6 p.p.g and 8 rebs p.g.

Head Coach Chuck Evans commented, "Randy is a player expected to have a break out season! He has shown signs in the past of his potential, but only in spurts! The question with Randy is why don't his stats reflect his potential? At Worcester, we will provide the opportunity for Randy to prove he is the very good player many people, myself included, believe he can be!"
