Anthony Davis returned to the lineup for the first time since January 18 and was booed by the fans of the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center.
Davis didn’t receive a warm welcome by the fans, after requesting a trade from his team a couple of weeks ago.
The Pelicans didn’t reach an agreement with any team prior to the trade deadline on February 7 and the versatile power forward will remain with the squad until the end of the season.
Davis scored 32 points, as the Pelicans defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves at home (122-117). He checked out with 3:14 remaining in the third quarter and didn’t play in the fourth quarter.
