Panathinaikos officially announced that Rick Pitino is the new head coach of the club and will replace Xavi Pascual.
The Hall Of Famer and two-time NCAA champion signed a contract with the six-time EuroLeague champions until the end of the season.
The 66-year-old coach, who arrived in Athens today (26/12), is expected to coach his first game against CSKA Moscow on Friday night (28/12).
