The Israeli Champion Hapoel Holon had just been rescued from erasure. Former owner and coach, Micki Dorsman, gave the team to his freind, a business man, Yaakov Aran and at the same time to the responsibility of Holon's municipality to keep play and stay in the Premier League.
Unfortunately, Holon already quit from the Uleb Cup and Bnei Hasharon, which would has to play in the preliminaries, advanced directly to the group phase.
Hapoel Jerusalem, who has sone financial problems themselves, will play in the preliminary round.
