Hapoel Holon made history, and took their first ever champions title in Israel, amazing especially that Holon had just promoted to the Premier league. Holon completely deserved the title, while the "Yellow-Purple" were the best team in Israel during all the season and finished top of the table in the regular season, despite they've been cut a point due to a thunderbolt punishment.
The final was great, and Maccabi ware the better team most of the game thanks to Yotam Halperin, Nikola Vujcic and Terence Morris. Maccabi were 65-57 up, 5 minutes to go, but stupid decisions by Zvika Sherf, Maccabi's coach, who put Halperin with 4 fouls on Malik Dixon, that sticked the 5th to Halperin, and Maccabi lost control. Dixon was unstopible and after Vujcic made 72-71 to Maccabi, 7 seconds to go, he drove home to give the winner and the title to Holon, 73-72.
