With the negotiations with Tariq Kirksay taking longer than wished for, Cajasol is examining other options, one of them being Kostas Vassiliadis.

Kirksay surely remains the main target, but right now there is a big difference between the player’s demands and what Cajasol is offering. “Yes there is an interest by Cajasol, but no official offer.” said Vassiliadis’ manager, Kostas Papadakis.

“There are other clubs interested in Kostas and the only thing that is sure, is that he will continue in the ACB. This is his wish and this is the only pissibility we’re exploring.”

The other clubs that are reported to be interested in Vassiliadis are Fuenlabrada and Bilbao Basket, but if Cajasol decides to make an official offer, the fact that they are competing in the Eurocup, may tip the scale in their favour.
