Klay Thompson, with 14 3-pointers, broke NBA record for most in the league’s history. The Golden State Warriors (7-1) decimated the Chicago Bulls (2-5) on the road (149-124).

Klay Thompson led the way with 52 points, while shooting 18-of-29 from the field, including 14-of-24 from three. He also grabbed 5 rebounds. Stephen Curry posted 23 points, 8 boards and 5 assists, Alfonzo McKinnie added 19 points with 10 rebounds. On the other hand, Zach LaVine and Antonio Blakeney both contributed 21 points.

The previous record for most 3-pointers belonged to Stephen Curry, who made 13 in the 2016-2017 season. Thompson scored 10 of his 14 3-pointers in the first half and helped the Warriors outscore the Bulls 94-50 at halftime.

Klay Thompson struggled with his shooting at the beginning of the season – in the first seven games he poured just 5-of-36 from three.
