Lithuanian club Siauliai started building their team for the next season with the signing of 22-year-old 2.06 m American center Matt Kingsley. The player will be making his debut in Europe after four years at Stephen F.Austin university. He was a leader of his team with 15.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game last season.
Kingsley was also named the best player in NCAA Southland conference. During 32 games last season he managed to produce 8 double doubles. His aggressiveness in the paint was very important for Siauliai to choose him according to the head coach Antanas Sireika.
Siauliai hope to finish building their roster till August 17 as its the date when the training camp begins. The club will take part in Eurocup's group stage and Baltic Basketball League besides participation in LKL.
At the moment Siauliai have only four players under contract. They are: Matt Kingsley, Mindaugas Kuzminskas (19, 2.06 m), Ignas Ramasauskas (16, 2.08 m), Zilvinas Petraitis (21, 1.94 m).
