Lietuvos Rytas has less than 9 days until Eurocup deadline to sign a new point guard. Though the team can't spend much on a new player. One of the best ways to cut costs of player wages is to loan him out. According to lrytas.lt, Marius Prekevicius will be moving to Greece for the remainder of the season.
Greek club Kavala expressed the interest in Lithuanian point guard who is not in the plans of Rytas's coach Rimas Kurtinaitis. Prekevicius appeared on the court in 6 Eurocup games averaging 1.5 points in less than 10 minutes per game.
His stats are more impressive in Lithuanian league as he averages 5.8 points per game.
Kavala already has two players from Lithuania on their roster – Antanas Kavaliauskas and Giedrius Gustas.
