Memphis Grizzlies center, Marc Gasol, spoke with the media during the presentation of the Lliga Catalana (Catalan Basketball League) and wasn’t happy with Juan Carlos Navarro’s retirement as well as the way Barcelona handled the situation.

“The desire of all those who love him, and we are many, is for things to have been better,” Gasol said. “I think they could have done it much, much better in many ways.”

Gasol, who played for the Catalans from 2003 to 2006, was not the first person that was critical of how Navarro’s retirement was treated by the “Blaugrana”, as Panathinaikos’ head coach, Xavi Pascual, and Oklahoma City forward, Alex Abrines, were also unhappy with this situation.
