The head coach of the Golden State Warriors, Steve Kerr, stated that DeMarcus Cousins is working well on his recovery, however there is no timetable for his return to action.

“He’s right on schedule. He hasn’t had any setbacks. He’s doing well. Beyond that, there’s nothing. No prediction. Especially with an Achilles injury, you have to wait and see how the player responds, once he’s on the court and moving at full speed,” Kerr told Mark Medina of the San Jose Mercury News.

The Warriors have the depth and quality to be dominant without the former New Orleans Pelicans power forward/center, so there is no pressure for him to compete sooner than expected.

Cousins is expected to miss the first part of the season and return to action either in December or January.
