Olympiacos too much for Zalgiris

{jathumbnail off}In a game with no effect in the final standings of Group H of the Top 16, Olympiacos beat Zalgiris in Piraeus with 78-64.

Zalgiris managed to stay in the game and closed the first period being ahead with 19-20 as Head Coach Dusan Ivkovic started his lineup with some reserves like Andreas Glyniadakis and Jamon Gordon.

The guests kept the lead up until the 16th minute of the game (28-29), but happy hour was over for the Liths and Olympiacos run a partial 13-5 for the final 41-34 of the first half.

The hosts looked rather indifferent in the second half (as no group placement was at stake), allowing the Lithuanian side to stay close until they finally pulled away with double digits with five minutes on the clock (68-57). The Lithuanians gave up any aspiration for a win and finally Olympiacos won the game with 78-64.
