Fenerbahce have kept their perfect record after beating Zalgiris at home, 80-72.

Zalgiris was impressive in the beginning of the match and took a fast 3-11 lead with Jankunas Pocius scoring from down town. Fenerbahce asked for a time out and after Euroleague veterans Turkcan and Jasikevicius came in for the Turkish champions the score became 16-17. From that point on it was a slippery slope for Zalgiris who were were behind after ten minutes, 22-19.

Turkcan kept dominating the paint and Fenerbahce tightened their defense and with a basket by Ukic made the score 37-31. Jasikevicius tried to expand the lead over his home-town team but Zalgiris refused to give up and with a crazy buzzer beater by Collins they tied the game at half time, 41-41.

Savas took over the scoring in the second half and put the hosts in the lead, 48-43. With an impressive 8-0 Zalgiris re-took the lead, 48-51. Preldzic stepped up for his team and called it a tie at 53 all. Ukic ended the third quarter in the best possible way by draining a threepointer for 58-54.

Zalgiris kept coming back and made the score 58-59. With an unlikely shot from behind the arc Turkcan made it 68-63. With just minutes to go Delininkaitis took some shot and made it 74-69 but Preldzic was the last moment man for another week and killed any hopes Zalgiris had left to stay in the game. Final score was 80-72.
