In another incident of a string of injuries hitting the team, CSKA Moscow’s starting center Alexander Kaun will undergo a surgery in the US and will stay out of actions until February.

Alexander Kaun will undergo surgery on his chronically injured patellar tendon of left knee in Cleveland Clinic on Thursday morning. It is estimated that player’s rehabilitation will take around 3 months.

The surgery’s goal is to excise of the diseased component of the patellar tendon and placement of PRP membrane to enhance healing. Surgery will be made by Dr. Richard Parker, Head Team Physician for the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
