Crvena Zvezda have released Milko Bjelica so that he can join Montenegro for Sunday’s World Cup qualifier away to Belarus.
The Montenegrins lost their opening qualifier on Friday against Spain in Podgorica, with Bjelica in Belgrade with Red Star as they narrowly lost to Baskonia with Bjelica posting nine points.
The veteran 33-year-old averages 12 points, 4.2 rebounds a game for Crvena Zvezda this season.
Montenegro travel to the Belarussian capital of Minsk today where Bjelica will join them. both teams are looking for their first win of the World Cup qualifying campaign.
