With Vassilis Spanoulis gone, the backcourt of Panathinaikos looks thin, so Panathinaikos returned to the negotiating table with Sarunas Jasikevicius. Panathinaikos have reportedly offered a 1-year contract worth 700.000 euros.
Jasikevicius on his hand was declaring that he wants a contract worth at least 1mil and reports had Maccabi Tel Aviv having offered that to the Lithuanian point guard. But it seems Jasikevicius desire to stay in Greece due to his Greek girlfriend expecting his child may tip the scale in favor of Panathinaikos and the two parts could continue together for another year.
