It might have only been pre-season but Melbourne United did Australia proud even though they just came up short against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Led by 22 points by Paul George and Carmelo Anthony had 19 as the Thunder edged Melbourne 86-85 in an NBA pre-season friendly.

However, reigning NBA MVP Russell Westbrook, who said that he wasn’t “expecting shit” from the NBL side, was held to just nine points, the first time he was held below double digits for scoring in 144 games.

Casper Ware led United with 20 points.
