Golden State Warriors big man Zaza Pachulia has been given the thumbs up to play for Georgia at this summer’s Eurobasket, which starts on Thursday.

Pachulia missed the recent Acropolis Tournament in Athens due to an ongoing ankle problem but has remained with the Georgian national side while he is getting treatment. He played only two preparation games ahead of the tournament, both against the Czech Republic in Georgia. The injury didn’t allow him to finish the second match and he has yet to step on the floor since then.

The center though came through his first full practice yesterday unscathed and the team have announced that Pachulia is fit for Eurobasket.

Georgia are housed in Group B, alongside Germany, Lithuania, Italy, Ukraine and hosts Israel. The games will be played in Tel Aviv.
