CSKA Moscow’s longest-serving player and team captain, Victor Khryapa, will remain with the club after signing a one-year contract with an option for another season.

Khryapa (2.03 meters, 35 years old), a two-time Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion and a former All-EuroLeague forward and 2010 EuroLeague Best Defender, has played a total of 12 season with CSKA.

In that time, Khryapa has reached the Final Four a record 11 times. He is one of only two players in competition history with more than 1,000 rebounds and 500 assists, and Khryapa also ranks fifth on the EuroLeague career charts with 159 blocks and eighth with 237 steals.

Khryapa the team win the 2008 and 2016 EuroLeague titles, in addition to half a dozen VTB United League crowns and eight Russian League championships. Last season, Khryapa averaged 3.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists.

Khryapa is a three-time All-EuroLeague selection and won the 2009-10 EuroLeague Best Defender award. His trophy case also includes several medals won with the Russian national team, including the gold from EuroBasket 2007 and a bronze medal from the 2012 Olympic Games.

The Russian veteran  started his professional career with Saratov and also played for Portland and Chicago in the NBA before re-joining CSKA back in 2007.
