ratiopharm Ulm added another player to its frontcourt by inking versatile big man Isaac Fotu to a two-year deal on Tuesday.

Fotu (2.03 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Tecnyconta Zaragoza, where he averaged 9.5 points on 66.9% two-point shooting and 5.7 rebounds in 32 Spanish League games last season. He played the 2015-16 7DAYS EuroCup season with Zaragoza, averaging 9.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 18 games.

Fotu has also played for Basquet Manresa of Spain, as well as being a member of the New Zealand national team.

He helped the Tall Blacks win a gold medal at the 2015 FIBA Stankovic Continental Champions Cup and a silver medal at the 2015 FIBA Oceania Championship.

“Isaac will play at the power forward and center positions in our team,” Ulm head coach Thorsten Leibenath said. “What he showed last year was already impressive, he has a lot of room for improvement. I believe we can take Isaac to the next level here in Ulm.”

Foru averaged 13.5 points in two games against Ulm in the 2015-16 EuroCup.
