Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow is already looking at potential additions to the team for the next season’s campaign. According to Spanish media, CSKA eyes last season discovery Jamont Gordon from Cibona and Eurocup champion Kosta Perovic of Power Electronics Valencia.
Gordon was one of the key players in Zagreb last season. He helped his team to reach Euroleague Top 16 despite financial instability. 23-year-old American guard averaged 13.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game in 16 Euroleague games last season.
CSKA are also looking to add a big man to their squad in case Sasha Kaun leaves the team. If Kaun stays in Russian capital, CSKA would still need a center with Great Britain international Pops Mensah-Bonsu very likely leaving the club.
According to recent reports, Kosta Perovic is among the top candidates to join CSKA. Serbian 2.17 m center is already wanted by several clubs in Europe and CSKA are prepared to join the race for the signature of a 25-year-old Eurocup champion. Perovic averaged 10.8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds per game in Eurocup last season.
