Golden State Warriors go 2-0 up in NBA Finals

Stephen Curry got a first career post-season triple-double as Golden State Warriors eased past the Cleveland Cavaliers 132-113 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Curry hit 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists with Kevin Durant leading the winners with 33 points as the Warriors defended home court and gave head coach Steve Kerr a welcome return to the bench in his first game back.

The visitors trailed by just three points at half-time at Oracle Arena, before the Warriors outscored the Cavaliers 35-24 in a decisive third quarter to win their 14th straight Playoff game.

LeBron James led the Cavaliers with a triple-double of his own as last season’s NBA Finals MVP posted 29 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists to draw level with Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson on eight post-season triple-doubles.

No other player has more than two.

Game 3 heads to Cleveland on Thursday.
