Fenerbahce club president Aziz Yildirim has announced that the club are close to completing a deal with Dogus Group which could see the EuroLeague champions pocket €45million for three years.

Yildirim explained the financial situation of the basketball section during Fenerbahce’s economic congress and explained what lies ahead for next season.

“We are ready to make a 3-year deal with Dogus Group and at this point only the signatures are missing,” Yildirim said.

“This agreement will cover half of our bugdet which is 30 million euros annually. This year we had total revenues of 12 million euros and a deficit of 18 million.”

According to those numbers that Yildirim explained to the congress, Dogus Group will give €15million to Fenerbahce annually with a total of €45million over the course of three years.

The sponsorship deal is the biggest to be done in the history of European basketball. Everything has been agreed, apart from the signatures to confirm the deal.
