EuroLeague players will not be competing at the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers after its CEO Jordi Bertomeu confirmed that the calendar will remain the same.
However, speaking to Spanish radio station “Cadena Ser” Bertomeu also added that even though “some time ago the clubs decided to keep the same calendar (the) decision is still valid unless a different decision is taken in July.”
The NBA players will also not be competing for their respective national teams for the qualifiers due to their club commitments which will leave the door open for truly any team to qualify for China in 2019.
The FIBA World Cup qualifiers will certainly be exciting and unpredictable with the main question of who will represent their countries starting in November.
