Barcelona and Valencia completed the Copa del Rey semi-final line-up with comfortable victories in their respective quarter-final contests.
The Catalan side needed a strong second half performance to overcome Unicaja Malaga 82-70 as young Swedish international Marcus Ericsson was the main difference maker in Barcelona’s game-changing run.
Ericsson had 18 points with nine of those coming as part of a 12-4 run in the third quarter as Barca turned a 33-28 half-time deficit on its head.
Tyrese Rice led the winners with 20 points.
A Bojan Dubljevic double-double helped Valencia to an 88-72 win over a sub-par Gran Canaria side.
Dubljevic led the way with 22 points and 11 rebounds as Valencia pulled away in the second quarter, eventually taking a 49-34 lead at the break and even though Gran Canaria made a brief comeback in the third, Valencia were simply too strong.
Anzejs Pasecnsiks led Gran Canaria with 12 points.
