ImageA month and a half before it starts and with the participating teams still not known, Euroleague Basketball has announced that all tickets have been sold out for the 2010 Final Four, which is to be held May 7 to 9 at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in Paris, the French capital.

No more tickets are available except those that will be offered to each Final Four qualified teams, once they are known. Fans from Greece, Spain, France and Israel were the biggest number of tickets buyers. The Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, with a capacity of 15.705 fans, has been the scene of much European basketball history since it opened in 1984. It has hosted three previous Final Four continental club championships – in 1991, 1996 and 2001 – as well as the 1999 European Championships for national teams, numerous French League fiinals and French federation tournaments.

"I believe that the massive response of our fans shows that the Final Four is the great moment of European basketball, the one in which everyone wants to take part, beyond the question of which teams make it, since everyone knows that whichever four teams make it have already demonstrated during the season that they are the best and will be ready and waiting to offer us a great spectacle." Mr. Jordi Bertomeu, Euroleague Basketball CEO, said. "This is more proof of the solid prestige of the Euroleague Basketball Final Four, now positioned as one of the top sports events in the world."
