In a game which will be remembered by many for many years to come Panathinaikos beat Khimki in overtime after an epic 8-1 run in the dying 22 seconds of the regular time, tying the game at 73-73. But the Greens' coach Obradovic acknowledged in the press conference after the game that Khimki deserved the win.
More specifically Obradovic stated: "We expected a tough game, because we know BC Khimki’s high level. In normal situations, BC Khimki played better than our team and deserved the win. But it happens in basketball that that team that scored the more during the last minutes wins the game. I am satisfied with my players, who continued to fight at the end of the game. In the fourth quarter we had problems when Khimki started to play zone defense. I want to congratulate Khimki on an excellent game."
On other news Dimitris Diamantidis who was only used for 11 minutes will be further examined today to determine the seriousness of his injury.
