Maroussi's coach Giorgos Bartzokas hailed Maccabi Tel Aviv, his team's opponent tonight as a real legend of the basketball history and stated happy and excited to play in Nokia Arena.
Bartzokas also claimed: “What you can say about Maccabi? It is one of the greatest legends in basketball history, a club with glorious history, big tradition and an outstanding mark. Regarding the current team, I think that they are improved compared to last season, because they have more athletic skill and alternatives. It’s going to be exciting for our team to play at Nokia Arena and our target is to stay competitive and earn as much as we can from that game. In such a game you can try and create your character.”
Dimitrios Mavroeidis, who has been havving an impressive debut season in Euroleague, added: “Apart from its history and basketball tradition, Maccabi is a team with a lot of talent, experience, quality and speed. No doubt, it is expected to be one of the most difficult games we have ever played. We are going there to play the best we can and we’ll see. The key is not to let them run and play with their enthusiasm.”
