The Cleveland Cavaliers were presented with their NBA championship rings earlier, but not the players.

Instead, Cavs majority owner Dan Gilbert presented the staff of the organisation and even the Quicken Loans Arena workers with their rings, which are distributed at an astonishing $1million.

So now, more than 1,000 full and part-time employees, such as ticket takers, seat ushers, security guards, Cleveland police officers are part of the 2015-2016 NBA championship winning squad.

Of course, not every team employee will get the same, diamond crusted ring that’s going to rest on the fingers of NBA Finals MVP LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love but those employees can say that they were part of that squad in some way.

However, reports that former coach David Blatt would receive a championship ring by the Cavaliers would not be confirmed by the club despite leading the team half-way to the title last season. Blatt was controversially sacked by Cleveland in January, despite leading the team to an Eastern Conference leading 30-11 record.
