The NBA have teamed up with Spanish restaurant group AN Grup and have opened the NBA Cafe on location at the La Rambla in Barcelona, Spain.

The NBA Café Barcelona was designed by renowned Spanish interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán and covers 1,200 square metres. Set over three floors, it features a range of NBA imagery, memorabilia, and merchandise, all complemented by a menu offering quintessential American bar and grill favorites along with local and Mediterranean dishes.

Multimedia displays including an arena-inspired, four-sided “jumbotron” over the bar area will show NBA highlights and programming. Fans will also be able to meet NBA talent, including current and former players, mascots and dance teams during key moments throughout the year.

Former NBA player Robert Horry, Jesus Bueno, Vice President of NBA Europe, Africa and Middle East, and NBA Senior Vice President and Managing Director Benjamin Morel were among the guests present at the opening and both posed for a picture with the Larry O’Brien Championship trophy at the venue.

The opening of the NBA Cafe comes just a week before the Oklahoma City Thunder travel to Spain to play two pre-season games against Real Madrid and Barcelona as part of NBA Global Games Europe 2016.
