OlympiacosGreek giants Olympiacos recorded their second win in Euroleague after defeating Lietuvos Rytas convincingly. The hosts were hoping to recover after last week's disappointing loss against Unicaja while Rytas tried to avoid their first loss of the season. Although the game promised an intrigue but eventually it turned into one-sided dominance of Olympiacos.

Lithuanian champions were battling equally with their opponents for the large part of the first quarter before Olympiacos made a run to earn 11 point lead after the first 10 minutes.

Panagiotis Giannakis's men continued increasing the gap between the two teams as Linas Kleiza and Josh Childress were the top scorers for The Reds. All the efforts by Rytas players to come closer to Olympiacos ended in failure. The Greek club entered the half time with a comfortable 21 point lead as the score was 52-31 for Olympiacos.

When the game winner seemed to be decided Lietuvos Rytas made an 8-0 run in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 12 points. This effort wasn't enough to turn the game around. Panagiotis Giannakis reacted quickly and immediately put Theo Papaloukas and Milos Teodosic on the court. Soon after that Olympiacos were up by 20 points.

The final period was just a formality as Olympiacos had 25 point lead. The gap reached 30 points on several occasions. Eventually Olympiacos won the game 97-73.
