After Brad Newley – another player – Aleksandar Rasic is close to leaving Lietuvos Rytas. Unlike the Australian, he will be heading to Greece.
According to the Serbian website Novosti, Olympiacos has reached an agreement with Rasic.
Olympiacos was in the market for a while now for a big man and a guard. After announcing former Toronto Raptors player Joey Dorsey earlier in the day, they concluded another deal, for Rasic this time.
Rasic was less than convincing during his stint with Lietuvos Rytas, while the Lithuanian club is looking to sign a replacement.
It’s still unknown whether Olympiacos will pay a buyout for the player, although a small amount could be possible.
