ImageAccording to the American website www.nbadraft.net, several European clubs, Panathinaikos and Real Madrid amongst them, are after Croatian 15-year old wonderkid Dario Saric, while Caja Laboral was already really close to signing him last season but the deal didn't go through.

15 year old Dario Simic already stands at 202cm while he is expected to grow another 6cm in the upcming years becoming a 208cm point guard, which is his position. According to the website other teams that are also interested in the player are Lottomatica Roma and of course Caja Laboral.

In fact the player had agreed to join Caja Laboral, who has been following his development since the age of 11, but the two parties could not reach an agreement concerning the contract length.

Saric averaged 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals in the U16 European Championship which took place recently.

Here is what Chrisphe Ney, a well respected basketball scout had to say about Saric, after watching him in Lithuania in the recent U16 European Championship:

"The Sibenik native is a 2m02 tall guard with terrific ball handling skills who clearly was among the most talented players of the whole tournament. Extremely versatile, Saric can shoot the ball, has a good court vision, great foot work and ball handling, can finish with both hands, the full package to be a great player. Right now, he is a bit soft in his finishes of course as he is rail thin and he is only a 15 year old kid."
