The Dallas Mavericks have brought back veteran center Dwight Powell, adding another experienced option to their frontcourt.
The organization announced the signing without revealing the financial terms of the agreement.
Powell has spent nearly his entire NBA career in Dallas after beginning his professional career with the Boston Celtics.
Across 12 seasons, the 6-foot-10, 240-pound big man has appeared in 768 regular-season games, including 266 starts.
For his career, Powell has averaged 6.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists while playing 17.5 minutes per game.
His lengthy tenure with the Mavericks has also placed him among several of the franchise’s all-time leaders.
Powell ranks fifth in games played with 763 appearances for Dallas and fourth in field-goal percentage at .606.
He has also collected 1,187 offensive rebounds and 3,251 total rebounds, ranking sixth in franchise history in both categories.
His 330 blocks put him 10th on the Mavericks’ all-time list. With Powell officially signed, Dallas now has 19 players on its training camp roster.
