Stephen Curry has completed a lucrative San Francisco real estate sale, unloading a commercial property that was originally intended to become the headquarters of his off-court business.
The Golden State Warriors star purchased the two-story building near Pier 70 for $8.5 million in 2024. Property records obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle show that it was sold Tuesday for $11 million to a Utah corporation with a local office.
Curry had planned to transform the roughly 25,000-square-foot property into the flagship headquarters for Thirty Ink. The proposed redevelopment included five stories with office, laboratory and event space, along with a rooftop deck and a three-bedroom penthouse for visiting clients.
Those plans never came to fruition. The project was halted in 2025 amid a reported disagreement with a local union regarding workers being used for construction.
Located at 20th and Illinois streets, the building is also just a short distance from Chase Center, where Curry has spent his Warriors career.
The transaction continues a series of major real estate moves by Curry and his wife, Ayesha. Earlier this year, the couple sold their Atherton estate for $29.1 million, while they previously parted with a luxury San Francisco condominium in 2022.
The sale also comes with Curry’s playing future drawing attention. The 38-year-old remains under contract with Golden State through next year but has yet to agree to another deal.
Ayesha recently indicated that retirement is not currently on her husband’s mind.
“Of course, Steph is the hardest-working man in the room. He has no days off. He hasn’t stopped since last season ended,” Ayesha Curry told NBC Sports Bay Area.
“He’s ready. He’s ready to get out there. I think we’re going to be in for some fun surprises over the next couple of years.”
