Hapoel Tel Aviv has strengthened its frontcourt by signing Zach LeDay to a two-year contract through the end of the 2027-28 season, the club announced Monday.
The 32-year-old forward/center arrives after two seasons with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, where he established himself as one of the most productive big men in European basketball. During the 2025-26 EuroLeague season, LeDay averaged 13.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 0.5 steals in 30 games while shooting 50.6% from the field and 49.5% from three-point range.
LeDay gives Hapoel another versatile frontcourt option after the team finished sixth in the 2025-26 EuroLeague regular season with a 23-15 record. The Israeli club reached the playoffs but was eliminated by Real Madrid 3-1 in the quarterfinal series.
LeDay has become a consistent EuroLeague contributor throughout his career, averaging 11.9 points and 4.6 rebounds over 403 games in Europe’s top competition. He has shot 50.1% from the field, 43.0% from three-point range and 86.6% from the free-throw line during his EuroLeague career.
His best EuroLeague season came in 2024-25 with Milan, when he averaged 16.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in 34 games while shooting 50.6% from the field and 46.2% from three. He followed that campaign by becoming part of the EuroLeague’s 50-40-90 club in 2025.
LeDay began his professional career in Israel with Hapoel Gilboa Galil during the 2017-18 season, averaging 19.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in the Israeli league. He later moved to Olympiacos, Zalgiris, Milan and Partizan Belgrade before returning to Milan for the 2024-26 seasons.
His résumé includes a 2026 Italian League championship with Milan, two Italian Cup titles, three Italian Super Cup trophies, an ABA League championship with Partizan in 2023 and a Lithuanian League title with Žalgiris in 2020.
Hapoel has been active in reshaping its roster after the 2025-26 season, adding Amir Coffey and Khadeem Carrington while losing Kessler Edwards, Chris Jones, Yam Madar, Levi Randolph and Keandre Cook.
With LeDay joining a core that featured Elijah Bryant, Daniel Oturu and Vasilije Micic during the 2025-26 EuroLeague campaign, Hapoel is adding another experienced player as it continues building toward sustained success in European competition.
