Minnesota Timberwolves summer league head coach Nathan Bubes thinks that Joan Beringer has already developed quite a bit since last season (entering sophomore year).

(via Minnesota Timberwolves):

“He’s grown the most in his understanding of the NBA game. He’s still really new to basketball. This is like his fourth or fifth year doing competitive basketball. He played soccer as a goalie before. So, just his understanding of the game. Now he can process things quickly on the floor, during drills, in the film room — all those little pieces and his English is exponentially better. And then, in terms of his strength, you look at his body right now: frame is bigger, walks with his shoulders up. So, he’s really improved. And then, Kev [Hanson] working on his finishing, too. His finishing around the basket was already really good, but it’s probably even gotten better. He finishes a lot of stuff there.”
