The Brooklyn Nets have declined to tender qualifying offers to guards/forwards Ochai Agbaji and Jalen Wilson, making both players unrestricted free agents, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto. By passing on qualifying offers, Brooklyn loses any matching rights and allows both players to negotiate freely with any team when free agency opens.

Agbaji arrived in Brooklyn late in the 2025-26 season after being acquired from the Toronto Raptors. In 20 appearances with the Nets, the 26-year-old averaged 6.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 16.2 minutes per game while shooting 45.5% from the field and 34.9% from three-point range. Although he did not make a start for Brooklyn, his shooting efficiency improved after the trade compared to his final stretch in Toronto, where he averaged 4.3 points while shooting 42.4% overall and just 18.5% from beyond the arc across 42 games.

The former first-round pick has appeared in 263 NBA games over four seasons with the Utah Jazz, Raptors and Nets. For his career, Agbaji has averaged 7.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists while shooting 44.8% from the field and 33.9% from three. His best season came in 2024-25 with Toronto, when he averaged career highs of 10.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists while posting an efficient 49.8% field-goal percentage and 39.9% from long distance across 64 games.

Wilson spent his first three NBA seasons with Brooklyn after being selected in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft. He played 54 games during the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 6.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 15.9 minutes while connecting on 35.5% of his three-point attempts.

Across 176 career games with the Nets, Wilson averaged 7.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists. His strongest season came in 2024-25, when he appeared in 79 games and averaged 9.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists while making 33.7% of his threes in 25.7 minutes per contest.

The roster decisions come as Brooklyn continues reshaping its rotation following a busy offseason. After finishing 20-62 and 13th in the Eastern Conference last season, the Nets traded for three-time All-Star Julius Randle ahead of the NBA Draft, adding a veteran scorer who averaged 21.1 points in 2025-26. Brooklyn also selected point guard Mikel Brown Jr. with the sixth overall pick before adding forward Tyler Bilodeau in the second round after acquiring the No. 43 selection.
