The 76ers are adding another undrafted prospect after agreeing to an Exhibit 10 contract with former Vanderbilt point guard Duke Miles.
Miles took a unique path through college basketball, beginning his career at Troy before making stops at High Point, Oklahoma, and Vanderbilt.
Benefiting from an extra year of NCAA eligibility due to the pandemic and a medical redshirt, he completed six collegiate seasons before entering the NBA Draft.
In his final year with the Commodores, the 24-year-old averaged 16.1 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.0 rebounds while leading the SEC with 2.6 steals per game.
His two-way production and defensive impact helped establish him as one of the conference’s top guards.
Although he went undrafted, Miles was viewed as a legitimate NBA prospect by several draft analysts.
His Exhibit 10 contract allows him to compete for a two-way roster spot during training camp or continue his development with the Delaware Blue Coats, Philadelphia’s G League affiliate.
If he is waived before the season and spends at least 60 days with the Blue Coats, he will also be eligible for the Exhibit 10 bonus.
