Domantas Sabonis could emerge as one of the more notable names on the trade market this offseason as the Kings continue reshaping their roster following the selection of Darius Acuff Jr.

According to Brian Windhorst, Sacramento may evaluate whether moving Sabonis aligns with the franchise’s long-term direction as it begins building around a younger core.

“I think it might include taking a look at the future of Domantas Sabonis with the team,” said Windhorst. “There’s a lot of interest in Sabonis. And there’s a possibility the Kings may look to see what his trade market might be as they look to pivot their franchise.”

Sabonis remains under contract through the 2027-28 season and is set to earn $45.47 million in 2026-27, making him one of Sacramento’s most valuable trade assets.

The three-time All-Star was limited to just 19 games last season but still averaged 15.8 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists when healthy.

If the Kings decide to pursue a younger timeline, Sabonis could attract significant interest from teams looking to add an accomplished frontcourt playmaker.
