Luka Doncic talks about disappointing Lakers season

Luka Doncic believes the Los Angeles Lakers’ season fell short of expectations despite showing flashes of championship-level basketball throughout the year.

“I always say a season is unsuccessful if you don’t win a title. We were unlucky. I was unlucky, Austin was injured too,” the Lakers star said.

“In March we were playing really good basketball, but in the end it didn’t work out. As for the future, it’s still far away, but I hope everything moves in the right direction.”

Doncic said injuries hurt the Lakers’ chances and prevented the team from building on its strong form from March.
