While many teams are exploring a variety of draft-day scenarios, the Detroit Pistons president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon suggested Detroit’s preference is either to stay at No. 21 or move higher in the first round.

The Pistons do not appear interested in trading down the board or moving completely out of the draft, believing there will still be quality talent available when their selection arrives.

Langdon expressed confidence that the front office can find a player capable of contributing to the franchise’s future regardless of whether the team remains at No. 21 or moves up.

“We feel we’re going to get a good player here,” Langdon said. “We think it’s still a good draft and we’ll find a good player at 21.”
