The NBA has decided not to upgrade the uncalled contact involving Victor Wembanyama and Jalen Brunson from Monday night’s Finals game, according to ESPN.

As a result, Wembanyama’s postseason flagrant foul total remains unchanged at two points, avoiding any additional disciplinary consequences.

The league did acknowledge that an error was made during the game.

During an appearance on NBA Today, senior vice president of referee development and training Monty McCutchen stated that a foul should have been called when Wembanyama made contact with Brunson’s upper body.

Despite that admission, the NBA determined that no further action was warranted, leaving the original ruling unchanged following its review of the play.
