Former Washington Wizards assistant Ryan Richman has agreed to become the new head coach of Alvark Tokyo in Japan’s B.League Premier.

Richman earned recognition during his time with SeaHorses Mikawa, guiding the team to three straight playoff appearances after leaving the NBA.

His success reportedly drew interest from several teams, along with multiple opportunities to return to the NBA as an assistant coach.

However, Richman ultimately chose Alvark Tokyo, a job that is widely considered one of the top coaching positions in Asian basketball.
