Detroit Pistons President Trajan Langdon made it clear the Pistons view big man Jalen Duren as a major part of the franchise’s future.

Langdon emphasized Duren’s development and impact during the season, highlighting the young center’s role in Detroit earning the top seed.

“JD had a fantastic season,” Langdon said. “All-Star. One of the biggest contributors to us being a No. 1 seed.”

The Pistons President also expressed confidence that the organization and Duren’s representatives will eventually reach a new agreement.

“We look forward to coming together with his representation, getting a deal done, and for him continuing to be a Piston,” Langdon said.
