OG Anunoby is expected to return for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals as long as he avoids any setbacks while recovering from his hamstring injury.

The New York Knicks forward has been sidelined since suffering the injury during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, when he was hurt following a dunk attempt.

Despite his absence, the Knicks managed to finish off the Philadelphia 76ers in Games 3 and 4 to advance to the next round.

Anunoby took part in portions of New York’s practice session on Wednesday, another positive sign regarding his availability moving forward.

Before the injury, Anunoby had emerged as one of the Knicks’ most impactful players during the postseason, delivering strong performances on both ends of the floor throughout the first two playoff rounds.

New York is now waiting to face either the Detroit Pistons or the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
